Living with a long-term condition can be challenging at times. It’s not uncommon to feel worried, on edge, stressed or anxious.
Feeling like this can change how you think and feel about yourself and make it harder for you to manage your long-term condition in the way you want to.
Our Living Well with a Long-Term Condition course is specially designed to help you learn new ways to manage your anxiety.
The course is free and runs for five weeks, with a 90 minute online session each week.
We also provide a Living Well with a Long-Term Condition (Low Mood) course if you are struggling with low mood.

A bit more about the course
The course is run online on Microsoft Teams by an experienced member of our team.
We will introduce you to a range of tools and techniques that you can use to help you cope with the challenges of managing your condition and improving your wellbeing.
This will include things like learning strategies to manage your activity and any negative thoughts or worries you have. We will also look at the impact anxiety can have on your relationships.
The course is a good opportunity to meet other people living with a long-term condition who may be experiencing similar things that you are.
Each session is 90 minutes long with a break half way through.
You will be provided with a downloadable course handbook with some techniques for you to practice at home.

Course dates
Our Living Well with a Long-term Condition (anxiety) course runs on a regular basis throughout the year. Courses are available online, Tuesdays 1-2:30pm.
First, you need to book an assessment with a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner (PWP). They will discuss the course and how it will help you. The PWP will be able to book you onto the next course.

If you would like to book a place on this course all you need to do is fill in our online referral form.

Once you have completed your referral you will be invited for a short assessment call with one of our Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners.
